What You'll Do

  • Volunteers work together to set up the screening, communicate with venue staff, research films and ensure that the venue is accessible to all our members
  • Facilitate the engagement of all members to a level they are comfortable with- especially new members or those with particular needs
  • Provide a “Warm Welcome” to members, especially new members or those with particular needs
  • Meeting and greeting members.
  • Welcoming new members, introducing them to other people and ensuring they feel welcome and helping them to integrate.
  • Sitting with the members and being part of the social group, joining the conversation and ensuring new members feel comfortable.
  • Helping clear away at the end of the event.
  • To cover in the lead volunteer’s absence

Personal qualities most suited to the role: 

  • Volunteers will ideally be sociable people who are able to encourage good group dynamics and be mindful of the social needs of sometimes vulnerable individual members
  • We welcome applications from people who identify as women, people who are non-binary and other assigned female at birth (AFAB) people.
