ODL has a commitment to ensuring that the voices of LGBTQ+ people over 50 are heard – by both service providers and policy makers. Our Ambassador programme is about supporting members to use their skills and experience to do this.

Opening Doors London Ambassadors are LGBTQ+ people over 50 who want to volunteer with us and are confident about talking about the needs and experiences of LGBTQ+ over 50. Our Ambassadors make a significant contribution to the external representation and influence of ODL, and in doing so to uplifting the voices of LGBTQ+ people over 50 in policy, research and the media.

We are currently recruiting for Ambassadors to support our work in three specific areas – in Health, Housing and Social Care, in Policy Advocacy and in Training.  If you are 50+ and interested in supporting ODL as an Ambassador, please look below for more information about all three roles.
