Opening Doors run a series of online support groups for LGBTQ+ people living with dementia; concerns about memory loss or memory impairment; or looking after someone with dementia and other cognitive problems.
These groups provide a safe and supportive space to discuss the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia and carers, while providing an opportunity to connect with one another, share experiences, offer mutual support and find solidarity.
An online support group for LGBTQ+ people over 50 who are looking after a partner, relative or friend with dementia, memory loss or cognitive problems.
First Thursday of the month - 11:00 to 12:30
Third Monday of the month - 3:30 to 5:00
A support and social group for anyone from the LGBTQ+ communities with a dementia diagnosis, concerns about memory loss or memory impairment or for anyone caring for someone with dementia. The second Monday of each month - 14:00 to 15:30.
Our new, unique online peer support group for people with a diagnosis of dementia. There is no other group specifically for LGBTQ+ people who have a diagnosis of dementia to connect with and support each other, without the presence of partners and carers. Every Tuesday, 17:00 to 18:30
