Get involved Volunteer Become a Trustee for ODL Opening Doors London is the country’s largest specialist provider of services and support for LGBT+ people over 50. We are currently seeking two people to fill vacancies on our Board of Trustees, which is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the organisation. We are particularly keen to increase the diversity of the Board and would especially welcome applicants from the BAME and/or trans+ and/or bi communities. There are over 3 million Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans+ people in Britain – and over 100,000 LGBT+ people over 50 in London alone. Unfortunately, the experience of LGBT+ people over 50 receiving services and support is not always a positive one. We aim to change that. With a membership of over 2000, we provide regular social groups and opportunities; we have a Befriending Service; we campaign for and give a voice to LGBT+ people over 50; and we provide training support to mainstream services. Our services are either delivered directly by ODL in partnership with local community groups throughout London. Find out more about the role and how to apply here. Remember to include your Equalities and Diversity Monitoring Form.
